Going out on the Bay in a comfortable safe boat: teaching a little sailing, talking a little history and really leaving the hardworld behind, if only for a short time. We can keep it casual or maybe do a Corinthian Yacht Club Friday Night "Beer Can" race- in Tiburon; a very low-key event, and I don't try to win, just stay with the tail of the fleet.. It's easy to make sailing friends here!  We were the original sailing Meetup group in the Bay Area, and are the largest.  We try to offer inexpensive sailing opportunities for everyone.   Many of our events are free. You don't have to know how to sail to be part of the group.  People with boats usually always welcome guests aboard to help pull ropes and turn cranks and pass out beer.  That is called "crewing". DragonMax is a Dragon Boat Club that practices year-round in Berkeley, California. It is sponsored by the Berkeley Racing Canoe Center (BRCC) and supports many community projects throughout the Bay Area. We welcome all types of paddlers into the club, which fields both competitive and recreational crews for local and out-of-town races. You are invited to join and participate.
